The Series DXE/MXE encoders are made of solid stainless steel weighing in at up to 6 kilos.  It is widely used in oil rigs on and off shore around the world.  It can be a simple incremental encoder or absolute, with parallel or analogue outputs.  The operating temperatures of the encoder can be from -40 degrees to +60 degrees (series DXL).  This includes special bearings, cable and modified electronics, and is then tested for a period of 48 hours prior to shipping in our environment chamber at -40 degrees.  All these encoders are IP66/67 rated and Ex d IIC.
